Usage Tips[]
The Famed Blade Kurosawa and its variants are very similar to the Ninja Sword aside from one major difference. Instead of the Ninja Sword's combo, Kurosawa offers a rapid stab combo that can be stringed together indefinitely and, as a tradeoff, has a slightly lower Speed rating of 2 instead of 3. This means that any wielder of these weapons, who doesn't aim to utilize this move, is carrying a generally inferior weapon in most instances. Since the each rapid stab attack stuns the target, the same way a charge attack would, they can be used to set up jutsus like Summoning: Slug or Gentle Step Twin Lion Fists. To make the most of the infinite combo it is important to understand that opponents are knocked down and gain invincibility frames during their get up animation, after receiving a certain amount of hit stun. This is why engaging the enemy without a charge attack or ninjutsus can lead to longer combos. Because this combo can only be executed on the ground, this weapon benefits a primarily grounded playstyle which is most prevalent on Base battles. Since this weapon is so centric around the rapid stab combo, utilizing modifiers that enhance the wielder's melee capabilities will greatly boost its effectiveness. Here are some examples:
The base combo without any modifier or previous hit stun contains four rapid stab moves.

The Heavy attack, while usually suboptimal, can occasionally be used as setup for hesitant opponents or those who tend to guard excessively. Note that this comes at the cost of rapid stab inputs.
